Here we’ll take a look at some of the training regimens that may (or may not) have been used in training the members of the Infinity Strike Team. Remember, you’ve gotta be strong, fast and mentally tough to stand a chance in the fight for the galaxy. These workouts will definitely make you that.
Oh, and as a physical therapist, I’m licensed to thrill in this area…
Day One:
- Legs and Abs
- Buy in: 500 m on the rower, 20 reverse lunges, 10 air squats – 2 rounds
- Part 1
- 100 back rack lunges (I used 135 lbs)
- Every time you have to break, you owe 5 box jumps on a 24″ box
- Part 2
- 100 bench hip thrusts (I used 185 lbs)
- Every time you break, you owe 10 lateral jumps over a 10″ hurdle
- Part 3
- 5-4-3-2-1 50 foot sled pushes (I used 145 lb sled)
- alternate with 20 weighted decline situps (20 lbs)
If you want to be able to jump over your house like Commander Griffin could, this posterior chain burner is a good start. Have fun sitting down tomorrow, Cadet!
Day 2:
- Shoulders
- 100 strict overhead presses, increasing weight after every 20 reps
- I started at 65 lbs and finished at 115 lbs.
- 100 strict upright rows, increasing weight after every 20 reps
- Again, I started at 65 lbs but finished at 135.
- 100 barbell muscle snatches – these are light snatches that you don’t drop underneath, putting a lot more load on the shoulders.
- I did all of these at 75 lbs. It got spicy there at the end.
- 100 strict overhead presses, increasing weight after every 20 reps
No superhuman soldier is walking around with puny shoulders. If you want to intimidate the Fury like an Infinity soldier, this is the answer. Getting that shirt on tomorrow won’t be easy.

This is a nice session to burn some calories interspersed with some tough abs work. Last I checked, Dominion soldiers weren’t terribly afraid of dudes with soft, doughy midsections. Keep chugging along at stuff like this and even the most experienced Dominion infantryman would tuck tail and run at the sight of you…
Day 4
- Chest and Back – Density Style
- 7 min of DB bench press – Pick a weight and set a timer for 7 minutes. Then perform as many reps as you can in that time. I chose 50 lb DBs. Should get somewhere between 80 and 100 reps. My best is 108.
- 7 min of strict pullups – Hands shoulder width apart on the bar. No kipping allowed. IF you need help, at a band to the bar and loop under your feet. Looking for 50 to 80 reps. My best is 84.
- 7 minutes of banded chest flys – Make sure the bands are anchored wide enough. Shoot for 100 to 120 reps. I’ve managed 130 once.
- 7 minutes of single arm bent over rows – Choose a weight that you can move for about 20 consecutive reps. I used 60 lbs.
- Rest 2-3 minutes between sections.
You think you can stand in front of the Gentry with that spoon chest? Not likely. Hit this workout and pretty soon you’ll have to decide which is more impressive: the wings growing on your back, or that body armor chest plate.
